As Erich Fromm says, true love is manifested when there is a commitment for the good of the other. It can be the partner, the children, the students, the family, the colleagues, or the society at large. The concept of prosociality, used in scientific research, refers to a type of behavior characterized by doing something for the benefit of others, which is both favorable and positive for the recipient of this behavior. This is closely related to emotions, because in fact, prosocial behavior makes sense when one feels satisfaction from adopting these behaviors.
